Final Draft of Advertisement

Final Draft of Advertisement

This is our final advertisement. It has changed a lot since our first draft through both the layout, text and colours incorporated.
We have decided to position the artist in the centre of the artist and used an image where she is looking out to the audience. This enables a connection to be made with the artist, for example the artist is making eye contact with the audience which is something seen very often in pop advertisements. In addition to this bright colours are stereotypical conventions seen in pop advertisements as it captures the attention of the audience. We decided to use pink and blue because this linked well with our Digipak however we decided to use a black background to create a less vibrant image. We have challenged the conventions by not using so many colours and allowing a softer more graceful image of the star. The reason for this is because the star image we created was to display the artist as an approachable, graceful person who also is a dancer so we wanted to highlight this in our work. As well as this we demonstrated its consistency with the digipak by including the neon spirals around the artist capturing her movement.

I feel this has improved a lot and now looks more realistic and follows the pop conventions more effectively. I like how there is consistency between our two ancillary products as it creates a professional feel to it.
