Album cover research

Album cover research:

Below you can see Taylor swifts most recent album cover, called 1989 which was released in 2014. I chose to look at this specific album cover, because her genre of music is similar to ours and what we have chosen. As you can see the album cover appears vintage by use of a polaroid camera photography, showing a vintage off colour look also. You can then see half of the artists face showing a sense of mystery, however the red lipstick  adds an old fashion sense which was in the late 80's and early 90's the colour red also has connotation as a rebellious young adult. The title of her album is not clear but you can see her name in a golden font colour, which gives connotations as being 'Chav' or streetwise. This album is made to make the artist appear a specific way which a dominant female. This is portrayed by the use of dark colours. However the album cover has a much
